Our story

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion;  we wanted to create a space where music enthusiasts could immerse themselves fully in their craft while enjoying warmth and hospitality. Our vision was to blend the art of musical expression with the comfort of a welcoming retreat, fostering an environment where creativity flows freely and connections are made effortlessly. Every detail has been designed to provide an unforgettable experience—combining excellent facilities, inspiring surroundings, and personalised care—so that every guest leaves feeling renewed, and more connected to their musical journey. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

Meet our team

James, sound engineer at Music Retreats in France

James

Hi, I’m James, the resident sound engineer. I also play keyboards, mandolin, and the banjo when required.

After 40 years as a musician and 30 years teaching and pacticing sound recording, I love nothing more than to be involved in musical projects with like-minded folk. My studio is my happy place and I’m always pleased to share it with other musicians to make magic happen!
